Shrine of Bakula Rimpoche brought to Mongolia

"The holy shrine of Bakula Rimpoche, who made great contributions to the development of Mongolian Buddhism, was brought to Mongolia on January 7 and placed in Betub Monastery. Kushok Bakula Rimpoche died on November 4, 2003. He was appointed to the post of Ambassador to Mongolia in 1989 and worked in Mongolia without interruption for a decade, greatly contributing to the development of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries as well as to the dissemination of Buddhism in Mongolia. In an effort to develop pure Buddhism in Mongolia he set up the Betub Monastery in Ulaanbaatar in 1999."
